To help get your event day off to a quick start, you can purchase a Washington State Parks Day Pass for your vehicle here. A few days ago the State’s website was compromised and they have ceased all vendor sales of Discovery Passes for park access as well as hunting and fishing licenses until the website has been fixed.
If you do not have a Discover Pass, you will need one to get to about ten of the new caches placed for the event. One pass is good for one vehicle and any number of passengers. If you order one through the website here, I’ll have it for you when you arrive at check in on Saturday morning with your other registration materials and nametags. The cost to get it through me will be $11.50, the same cost you would pay to purchase from a local vendor (if the State’s website is fixed in time). The $1.50 I’m adding is to cover the fees Paypal will deduct from your payment.
If you order a pass here, please be sure to include your geocaching nickname so I will know who the payment belongs to! If you decide to order a pass here, please have your order in no later than Monday, September 12 to give me time to go out to Cape Disappointment and buy the passes in time for the event.
