After hosting annual geocaching events in northwest Washington since 2004, the event organizer funbeach (aka Half-Canadian) updated her home coordinates in 2014 to the fantastic Long Beach Peninsula in the very southwest corner of Washington, just three scenic hours from Seattle and two hours from Portland/Vancouver Washington.
To take advantage of plenty of great new locations for caches, she started a new annual tradition in 2015 with a blockbuster geocaching event weekend — Cache Dash Splash — and you are invited!
You’ll want to be sure to mark your calendar for the weekend of September 14-16, 2018 — you won’t want to miss out on this third annual event complete with plenty of new caches to find, a very cool, limited edition geocoin, a bonus super fun top-secret adventure, and an opportunity to enjoy the World’s Longest Beach!
The main event, All Aboard! takes place on Saturday, September 15 with a morning check-in and last minute updates, along with a Friday night meet ‘n greet The Dining Car, Saturday night dinner and wrap-up Tickets Please!, a Sunday morning Whistlestop Breakfast and a bonus Sunday event The Caboose CITO — you can hit one, two, three, four, or all five events while you’re here! There will be so much fun stuff to see and do, you might just want to stay an extra day or two before heading home.
